Wednesday, November 28 afternoon play was won by Tony Ryan and Bevan Wingett, and in second place were Roy Bell and Andrew Tabor.
The 2018-19 intra-club competitions played on Saturday, December 1 were: Open singles Brent Schloss d Shane Case, and David Freeme d Ben Ruwoldt; open pairs - John Fowler and Bill Perry d Kerry Lovell and Tony Ryan; C singles - Pat Knowles d Lachlan Barnes.
2018-19 intra-club matches called for Saturday, December 8 are: Final of veteran singles - Roy Bell v Roger Brashaw; open singles - Brent Schloss v John Fowler; club pairs Ray Weis and Vince Vaz v Tony Ryan and Pat Knowles, Daryl Fraser and Lachlan Barnes v Tony Collins and Andrew Tabor.
Sunday, December 2 mixed social bowls was taken out by Shane Case, Lachlan Barnes and Peter Warren, and second place was picked up by Jim Walcroft, Roger Haldane and Aileen Cox.
Coming events:Sunday, December 9: Advertiser Shield Day, which will wrap up our annual program of Sunday afternoon events.
The last in our series of six Tuesday night community bowls evenings was held on 27 November.
From beginning to end the activity was most rewarding indeed, and enjoyed by the almost 150 people who took part.
Many thanks to the non-bowling locals who turned up often, and congratulations to those who took time each week to coordinate the nightly line-up - Jim, Ray, Bill, Ian, Bev, Alan, Bill and Gary.
It's likely the community bowls will restart in the New Year, so keep an eye open for an upcoming announcement.
The green will close for its annual refurbishment as from Monday, December 10.
The club's Christmas party is to be held on Sunday, December 9 following the afternoon's play; and there's still room for more people to add to the noticeboard list of attendees.
The next management committee meeting of the club is scheduled for Sunday, December 9 at 9.30am in the clubhouse.
