Darryl Braithwaite to rock out year’s end early
AUSTRALIAN rock legend Daryl Braithwaite will deliver Toowoomba an early Christmas present when he takes to the stage this month.
The rock legend will perform a special concert at Clifford Park on December 29.
The event, organised by the Toowoomba Turf Club, will help residents farewell 2018 early.
Braithwaite will perform live inside the Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium straight after the final race of the day.
Toowoomba Turf Club chief executive Blair Odgers said the club was delighted to bring Braithwaite back to Toowoomba.
“Daryl Braithwaite is a stalwart of Australian music - he’ll be singing all the crowd favourites,” he said.
“Everyone that loves our sport loves Daryl’s annual performance at Moonee Valley for the Cox Plate - we can’t wait to hear the crowd singing along to The Horses.”
Early bird tickets are $15 and can be purchased from cliffordpark.com.au.
Tickets will also be available for $25 on the night.
Guests attending the concert can also enjoy the evening’s race program, with a three-hour canape function to be held inside the Clive Berghofer Grande Atrium.
Separate tickets must be purchased for this event.
The Clifford Park Farewells 2018 event is part of the 2018/19 Summer Racing Series, thanks to Furneys Stockfeeds, and will be the club’s last meeting until January 25.
