Every year The CW brings together the heroes of its shared Arrowverse for a jaw-dropping event. Tonight Supergirl (Melissa Benoist), The Flash (Grant Gustin) and Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) join forces to defeat an evil scientist. As if that wasn’t enough, expect the three-night cross-over event to introduce Batwoman (played by Aussie Ruby Rose, pictured right), and also feature appearance­s by Superman (Tyler Hoechlin).

DOCUMENTAR­Y Long Lost Family Lifestyle 106, 8.30pm

For eight seasons now presenters Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell have reunited family members with missing relatives in this series that is sure to melt even the coldest heart. Expect heart-stopping moments and an empty box of tissues when all is said and done.

The Miracle FoxShowcas­e 115, 9.55am

When a Special Forces unit raids the bunker of an Italian mob boss, police come face-to-face with a phenomenon that defies all the laws of physics: a Virgin Mary sculpture that mysterious­ly weeps blood (pictured, left). Expect this mystery to change the lives of everyone it touches in this supernatur­al crime drama written by bestsellin­g Italian novelist Niccolò Ammaniti.

In the harsh outback lurks a feral beast with a ruthless hunger and an appetite for destructio­n. It cares for none, defends its territory with brutal force, and kills with a savagery unlike any have seen before. If you’re in the mood for a night of scream-out-loud moments and ocker humour, this taut home-grown thriller starring John Jarratt

SPORT HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2019: South Africa Fox Sports 503, 3am

The men’s and women’s HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2018 saw record-breaking fan engagement figures, with more than 120 million video views, which is a whopping 60 per cent increase on 2017. Today the action continues in Cape Town before it picks up next year in the New Zealand city of Hamilton on January 26.
