Milestones

-

My life is full of milestones,

I have them every day,

And whether I am aware of them, They are forever here to stay.

As each and every one of them occurs,

They spring up like a fountain, And whether I believe it or not, They build like a mountain.

My first important one, Was the occasion of my birth, And to both of my parents, It was a time of great worth. Next of all were birthdays, They happened every year, And to each and every one of them, I held them all most dear.

Then along came my school days, I didn’t know what to expect, But to each and every one of them, I held them with great respect.

Next along came my workdays, They were a necessary part of life, From them I built up a nest egg, To share it with my wife.

My next venture was sporting, From it I got a lot of pleasure, I competed in lots and lots of games,

Whether it was for competition or for leisure.

My next excursion was family, They came along with joy, From it I had two lovely daughters, As well as one well received little boy.

When I think of all these milestones, I certainly enjoyed them all, They made my life so wonderful, They are so meaningful to recall.
