SUPPORT FOR VETERANS

-

As we head into a new year, we want to remind Australian veterans and their families that there is support available if they need it.

At Mates4Mates we provide support and rehabilitation services to any current and ex-serving Defence Force members with physical or psychological injuries, and their families.

Whether you need support or rehabilitation for a physical injury, or you’re experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress, it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone.

We offer psychology appointments at our Family Recovery Centres or via phone, rehabilitation adventures or sessions with an exercise physiologist, employment support, and social connection activities.

We know that veterans can face a variety of challenges as they transition to civilian life, and we’re here to make that transition a little easier.

In 2018, we facilitated 4175 psychology appointments, provided 13,892 physical rehabilitation and wellbeing contacts, and fostered 8062 social connection contacts.

If you need support, prioritise your health and wellbeing and get in touch on 1300 4 MATES or visit mates4mates.org to find out more about our services.
