Science-fiction theme at wedding

-

GEOFF Campbell and Denise Gosper enjoyed a wedding filled with science-fiction wonder at the Preston Peak Chapel on November 18.

The couple had about 60 guests arrive at the ceremony and the reception.

The memorabilia included a TARDIS style photo-booth and actors dressed as storm troopers.

Mr Campbell said he was a massive Dr Who fan and Denise had a love for storm troopers from Star Wars.

“There were two storm troopers who escorted Denise down the aisle and stood there for the rest of the ceremony,” he said.

“It was a lot of fun. Everyone who was there had a great time.”

The couple celebrated the reception at the community hall at Stockyard Creek.

Mr Campbell’s father made the couple’s wedding cake.

“The cake was probably the most traditional aspect of the wedding,” he said.

Mr Campbell said weddings could be stressful, but Denise had done an amazing job organising.

The couple travelled to Fiji for a week for their honeymoon.

“Fiji is an amazing place. I heard that a tropical paradise is a magical place and it certainly applies to Fiji,” Mr Campbell said.

“We went snorkelling, boat rides, swimming and enjoyed a tradition feast.

“I would go back in a heartbeat.”
