A WOMAN caught twice drug driving and driving while under licence suspension arising from those drug driving offences has been ordered off the roads for three years.

Prudence May Larsen, 33, tested positive for methylamphetamine after being pulled over driving on a probationary licence on Anzac Ave about 1.14am, on June 30, Toowoomba Magistrates Court heard.

She again tested positive for the same drug when she was pulled over by police driving on Alderley St about 8.50pm on July 5, police prosecutor Sergeant Al Windsor told the court.

Because it had been her second drug driving offence, her driver’s licence was immediately suspended yet she was caught by police driving again on Duncan St, Toowoomba, about 12.30pm, October 23, the court heard.

The car she was driving was found to be unregistered and uninsured at the time, Sgt Windsor said.

Larsen pleaded guilty to all charges.

Her solicitor Brad Skuse said his client had not been using drugs for some time but had returned to old habits because of family stresses at the time.

Because she had two previous drug driving offences, Larsen was facing a three-year disqualification period, Magistrate Damian Carroll noted.

Mr Carroll placed her on 12 months probation, fined her $300 and disqualified her from holding or obtaining a driver’s licence for three years.
