Ray White’s night of nights
THE new year will undoubtedly bring many exciting developments for the real estate industry, but for Ray White Toowoomba and Ray White Rural Toowoomba, closing out 2018 with their annual awards night was just as exhilarating.
Held at the Empire Theatre -Armitage Centre Heritage Bank Auditorium, the night was a chance for their sales and property management staff to come together to celebrate the Christmas season and also recognise the hard work put in by the team during the year.
Host Rebecca Cosgrove said the gala event saw 25 awards presented in front of an audience of 60 employees, partners, colleagues and special guests.
Ray White Qld CEO Tony Warland attended, thanking everyone for a stellar year while paying gratitude to the business leaders for being "great mentors to the team".
"As a business owner, I really enjoy organising our annual event to thank our wonderful staff who are our family," Rebecca said.
"The night is all about them celebrating all of their achievements for the year - with the focus on the fact it takes a team to achieve results.
"We have a wonderful support team assisting our salespeople and property managers, so it's a case of thanking each and every one of them, including all spouses and partners.
"Planning for the event starts in January and there is always a surprise element to the evening," Rebecca said.
"This year, a Game Show Live challenge provided some great fun and friendly competition for the night."
But the real estate awards were always going to take centre stage and the audience enthusiastically recognised Wade Lockrey as Salesperson of the Year and Emmi Tummon as Property Manager of the Year. The Chronicle Award (for most advertisements) was won by Verity Campbell and the Best Advertisement gong went to Wade Lockrey.
