New owners for Crows Nest Caravan Park

-

A POPULAR caravan park on the main highway running into Toowoomba has sold to new owners.

The Crows Nest Caravan park on the New England Highway was settled just before Christmas, after a lengthy search for new ownership.

Caravan Park Brokers director Jason Smith said the new owners, Gerald Searle and Phillip Curnuck, had more than two decades of experience in the accommodation industry.

“Gerald and Phillip are very experienced in the caravan park industry after purchasing their first caravan park more than 20 years ago and owning multiple hotels, motels and caravan parks,” he said.

“It’s been on the market for a while, but there’s been interest and now it’s finally settled.”

Mr Smith said the caravan park had been well-maintained and enjoyed decent occupancy rates.

“The park is situated on the New England Highway making it a popular overnight or longer stay for tourists travelling to and from NSW and Victoria,” he said.

“I think the size and scale (were factors in the sale), and the fact that it’s fairly close to Toowoomba, which is growing quickly.

“The Hidden Gem Restaurant has a good reputation with locals and functions and the 24 cabins can cater for large groups or contractors working in and around the area.”
