Lions celebrate six decades

DALBY: For many of us, February 14 is synonymous with Valentine’s Day.

For the Dalby Lions, Thursday marks the service club’s 60th anniversary.

President Julianne Shipway said, while 60 continuous years of Lions was not unique it was “pretty damn good”.

“We’ve had a strong club the whole time.

Mrs Shipway said the club always strived to help others, in any way possible.

She said Lions was for everyone, regardless of the areas they wanted to focus on.
