Tune in as the heroes of the sky face-off against all manner of strife, to make sure loved ones from all over the country get home safe and sound in this nail-biting series that traverses bush canopies, ocean waves, remote farms, jagged clifftops and everything in between. If you like fly-on-the-wall drama, these legends will restore your faith in humanity and put a smile on your dial. Tune in tonight for the season four premiere.

This new series centres around Liz Ortecho (Jeanine Mason, pictured), who returns home to Roswell to care for her ailing father and discovers her teenage crush Max (played by Aussie Nathan Parsons) is an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden from her his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect, but when a violent attack points to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him. If you’re after a new supernatur­al mystery full of government conspiraci­es, romance and life-threatenin­g consequenc­es to get you hooked right from the get-go, it’s time to jump on board the mothership.

NottiNg Hill Romance Movies 414, 7.30pm

Fancy a feel-good classic on Valentine’s Day eve? Well, you’re in luck. Anna Scott (Julia Roberts, pictured) is the world’s most famous movie star. William Thacker (Hugh Grant) owns a travel bookstore. When the pair’s paths unexpected­ly collide in the eclectic neighbourh­ood of Notting Hill in West London, romance is the last thing on their minds. This modern Cinderella tale full of English charm and humour is about as enchanting as romantic comedies get, rounded out by an all-star cast that includes Rhys Ifans, Emily Mortimer, Hugh Bonneville and Gina McKee. Keep the tissues ready for when Roberts utters the immortal words, “I’m also just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her”. But you should know that by now.

Paris: a wild story Animal Planet 621, 6.30pm

Paris might be known throughout the world for its history, beauty, architectu­re and tasty pastries. But did you know that close to 3000 wild species of flora and fauna inhabit the City of Light, alongside its 2.2 million citizens? This 92-minute, two-part special explores the lives of the many animals that call the French capital home, as they search for food, love and adventure while the city’s human residents sleep, travel and go to work. If you’re mad about nature and have a fondness for all creatures great and small, be prepared to never look at Paris – or its nightlife – in the same way again.
