DRY weather is set to prevail over Toowoomba into the next week, with little reprieve in sight.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting another five days with little to no chance of rain, finishing with a slight, 30% chance of a shower next Wednesday.

The continuing dry spell comes off the back of Wednesday’s dust storm and spike in temperatures, which saw the mercury hit a maximum of 38.1 degrees - just shy of 11 degrees above the monthly average.

Today the Garden City can expect a minimum of 18 degrees before climbing to 29 degrees, partly cloudy skies and winds tending east to south easterly.

The weekend is forecast to be mostly sunny, with a minimum of 16 degrees on both days and a maximum of 28 tomorrow and 29 on Sunday.

The bureau is forecasting a zero per cent chance of rain from tomorrow through to

Monday.

Temperatures will begin to climb early next week, rising to a maximum of 32 degrees on Monday, 34 on Tuesday and 33 on Wednesday.

Out on the Western Downs, temperatures in Dalby are expected to fluctuate between the low to mid 30s right through until Sunday, again with little to no chance of rain.

South of Toowoomba, Warwick can expect milder temperatures, ranging between the high 20 degrees and low 30s.
