Carbs, cocktails for good cause at Vapiano

-

CARBS and cocktails are the perfect combination to raise funds for charity.

It’s all for a good cause at Vapiano on Wednesday afternoons when Drink Pink Wednesdays kicks off.

Customers can purchase a $5 pink gin spritz with any main meal, with the proceeds of every spritz donated to Share the Dignity Australia.

Vapiano has teamed up with the charity to support Australian women who are faced with homelessness, poverty and domestic violence.

With a staggering 48,000 women experiencing homelessness in Australia, Vapiano owner Will Cooke hoped Drink Pink Wednesdays could help Share the Dignity reach more women in need.

“It does some incredible work for Australian women and families in tough situations and we’re extremely proud to be able to support them with our Drink Pink Wednesdays initiative,” he said.

“We hope to see the local community joining us to support Share the Dignity over some delicious food and refreshing pink gin spritzers.”

Share the Dignity founder and managing director Rochelle Courtenay said she was thrilled when businesses came up with their own unique initiatives to support the cause.

“We’re so excited to partner with another like-minded business that shares our passion of helping women in need and are grateful to all who support us via Vapiano,” she said.

Drink Pink Wednesdays run from 5pm each week at Vapiano Toowoomba.
