Buns, brews and tunes

IT’S like a match made in heaven – craft beers, delicious burgers and classic vinyl records.

This trio of sensory delights will come together tomorrow night for the first Burger, Beer and Vinyl Feast in Toowoomba.

The special free event has been organised by Toowoomba businesses Phat Burgers and 4 Brothers Brewing and will take place at the brewery on Brook St, near the old milk factory.

Phat Burgers co-owner Alan Wynn said the restaurant had worked with 4 Brothers before, and was determined to make the feast a regular event.

“Just before Christmas, we went down on a Saturday to do burgers at their brewery and we did it for lunch and it was great,” he said.

“It was quite a day – it’s a strange part of town, but it was happening and there were plenty of people.

“It was nice to have a venture with another local business that’s doing food and drinks.

“Adrian (Cubit, 4 Brothers) said Friday was his best night, so this is going to our first Friday event.”

Phat Burgers’ Travis Howell will be spinning plenty of classic tracks under his stage name Howlin Stone.

There will also be a record buy, swap and sell stall by Rock Star Vinyl for any eager collectors.

Phat Burgers has also revealed it will now stock 4 Brothers’ Toowoomba Lager
