MEET BRONCOS AT FOXTEL EVENT

NRL stars head to Harvey Norman for big weekend

-

THE Brisbane Broncos are set to light it up on the field in 2019, and Alex Glenn is ready to be a massive part of that puzzle.

With more than 240 matches of NRL experience, the former New Zealand international is a veteran of the game, and will join fellow mainstay Andew McCullough in the Garden City today.

The trip up the range will be to help showcase Foxtel’s new 4K Ultra HD technology, with selected matches of the NRL season to be displayed in incredible high-definition.

He is embracing the opportunity to make the trip to the Downs, one that he is familiar with.

“We’re excited to come out to Toowoomba. It’s always great to get out to the towns where we don’t get to as much, and catch up with our fans,” he said.

“I’ve been up there many times. It’s not too far from Brisbane, and when we had our trial there last year, we got a massive crowd.

“Everyone gives us so much support.”

Glenn and McCullough will be at the Toowoomba Harvey Norman store today from 11am until 1pm to showcase the picture and sound quality of the 4K Ultra HD technology.

Then, tomorrow, rugby league legends, and former Broncos, Justin Hodges and Corey Parker will join Foxtel at Harvey Norman Toowoomba

between 10am – noon.

Harvey Norman stores at Dalby, Warwick, and Kingaroy will also play host to Foxtel’s 4K Ultra HD experience hubs today and tomorrow.

With the NRL season less than a week away, whenever Glenn isn’t running rings around the opposition, he is looking forward to watching rivals do their thing in style.

“When we’re not playing, that’s what my weekend consists of, watching the footy,” he said.

“To have the opportunity to watch it in 4K with a clear picture makes it a whole new experience, and I’m looking forward to it this season.

“For sport, you need to have that feeling like you’re at the game, and this will give everyone that feeling when they’re watching on the couch.”

The 4K Ultra HD sporting line up includes more than 40 games of 2019 NRL Telstra Premiership, 40 games of 2019 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, plus selected 2019 Vodafone Super Rugby and women’s football and follows 2018’s 4K Ultra HD broadcast of Virgin Australia Supercars Championship at Bathurst and the recently completed summer of cricket broadcasts..

Motorsport fans are also in for a high octane boost as Foxtel will deliver 2019 Formula One World Championship races in 4K Ultra HD.

The high speed action will roar to life in 4K Ultra HD starting with this month’s Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix, which is set to be staged in Melbourne from March 15-17.

Visitors to the 4K Ultra HD experience hubs at Harvey Norman stores in Toowoomba, Dalby, Warwick, and Kingaroy today and tomorrow can check out Foxtel running in 4K, explore the iQ4 set top box in person and enter a competition to win a 12 month Foxtel subscription and 4K TV.
