10 THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND
1. High Altitude Rod Run
When: Tomorrow from 9am to 1pm
Where: TAFE carpark behind the Cobb and Co Museum, 27 Lindsay St, Toowoomba.
THE Toowoomba Hot Rodders will have a variety of hot rods on display for the public to enjoy.
Trade stalls and food will be available at the car show while Toowoomba band The Zephyr Band will provide entertainment.

2. Darling Downs Women’s Health Expo
When: Today from 10am to 3pm
Where: Highfields Cultural Centre, O’Brien Rd, Highfields.
THE Darling Downs Women’s Health Expo will provide an opportunity to learn about various medicine services available.
A range of activities will be available for participants and children to enjoy.
Obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr Matthew Stinson will be a guest speaker at the expo.

3. Broncos at Foxtel event
When: Today from 11am to 1pm and tomorrow from 10am to noon
Where: Harvey Norman Toowoomba, 910-932 Ruthven St.
BRONCOS stars Andrew McCullough and Alex Glenn will visit the Toowoomba Harvey Norman store today while Justin Hodges and Corey Parker will visit the store tomorrow to help showcase Foxtel’s 4K Ultra HD technology.

4. Glennie Fair and open day
When: Tomorrow from 10am to 3pm
Where: The Glennie School, 246A Herries St, Toowoomba.
THE Glennie School and its Parents and Friends’ Association invites everyone to join in the celebration of annual Glennie Fair.
Sideshow alley rides, entertainment, GOGA art show, pig races, fashion parade, market stalls and more will be available at the fair.
Plenty of food and drink vendors will be present.
The school will offer parents an opportunity to tour the facilities at 10am, noon and 2pm.
Entry into the fair is free for everyone.
5. Music in the Park
When: Tomorrow from 1pm to 3pm
Where: Peacehaven Botanic Park, 56 Kuhls Rd, Highfields.
THE autumn series of Music in the Park kicks off this Sunday with The Wanderers Band.
A fun and energetic show band, their show pays tributed to the two decades where rock ‘n’ roll reigned as well as the legends who made it all happen.
Bring a chair or a picnic blanket and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the picturesque park.
Entry into the show is free.
6. Australian Off-Road Championship
When: Today and tomorrow from 9am on both days
Where: 107 Kherim Rd, Murphys Creek.
ABOUT 250 motorcyclists will compete in round one and two of the Australian Off-Road Championship.
There will be 10 different classes during the weekend championship.
The championship is open to the general public with free entry.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the event.

7. Dubs on the Hill
When: Tomorrow from 9am to 1pm
Where: Picnic Point, 164 Tourist Rd, Toowoomba.
KLUB VW Darling Downs will be gathering iconic Volkswagen vehicles at its Dubs on the Hill show.
The family fun day will have live music, raffles, market stalls and a jumping castle to keep the children entertained.
Food and drink will be available at the car show.

8. Pig Day Out
When: Tomorrow from 1pm to 8pm
Where: Blue Mountain Hotel, 264 New England Highway, Toowoomba.
FUBRAINCANCER Toowoomba invites everyone to come and enjoy some pig racing for brain cancer research.
The pigs will navigate through a maze of hay bales, tyres, weighted gates and ramps.
A wide range of entertainment will be available such as live music, face painting, animal zoo, pony rides and more.
Auctions and sweeps will also be held on every race and a $1000 cash prize to be drawn after the races.
Entry is $10 for adults, $5 for children and $25 for a family.

9. Album launch

Where: Gowrie Little Plain Hall, 111 Gowrie Little Plain Rd, Gowrie Little Plain.
LOCAL country music singers Ged and Trudy Hintz will launch their new album tonight.
Entry into the album launch is $20 which includes a lucky door ticket.

10. 150 years of rail
When: Today from 8am
Where: Clifton Railway Station, King St, Clifton.
THE Clifton township is celebrating 150 years of their historic Clifton Railway Station today.
The day kicks off with street markets, and Southern Downs Steam Railway from Warwick will bring their steam train out for the day.
There will also be a town crier, petting zoo, model trains and Finnegans Wake is on at O’Shanley’s Irish Hotel.
