Big year for Dubs on Hill
Milestone passed in fourth event
DUBS On The Hill has broken a significant record.
In the event’s fourth year, they surpassed the milestone of having 130 cars register at the weekend.
And there was a professional eye to cast over the best in show entries this time around – 2017 Bathurst 1000 winner Luke Youlden.
For him, it was a trip down memory lane, reminiscent of times spent with his dad, craving anything motor-related.
“Obviously growing up and being a motoring enthusiast and you’re aware of it, I’ve always wanted to have one to be honest,” Mr Youlden said.
“I got my passion through my father, every now and then he would take me to events like this.
“Especially when I was really young, I couldn’t get enough of car-related stuff.
“If it was local I would be there in a heartbeat.”
But there was one car in particular that caught his eye.
“I’m a big fan of the splitwindow Kombis, mainly because they’re worth so much money,” Mr Youlden said.

“It would be great if I could find one.
“I like the original restored cars, that haven’t been messed with by the factory.”
