A TOOWOOMBA charity event is bringing an Australian dance music group to the Garden City in May.

The Curve-Ball is a black-tie charity ball founded by a group of locals in 2017 that has already raised more than $139,000 across two events.

A spokeswoman for the event said organisers were pleased to announce ARIA Award winners Sneaky Sound System as the main entertainment at the 2019 event, to be held at the Mills Precinct on Saturday, May 4.

“The world-renowned duo are the talent behind widely celebrated tracks such as UFO and Pictures,” the spokeswoman said.

“Sneaky Sound System have enjoyed global success with tours throughout the UK, Europe and Asia alongside Australia and New Zealand.

“Across the years the group has headlined at world-renowned festivals including Glastonbury, Big Day Out and most recently at a sold out Hot Dub Wine Machine in 2018. The duo has entertained crowds at various Australian events including Australia F1 Grand Prix, Melbourne Cup and the Rugby League World Cup.”

Tickets to the 2019 Curve-Ball are $140 from Eventbrite and include a five-hour drinks package, canapes and entertainment - all for a great cause with this year’s recipients to be announced soon.
