Fun activities to keep your kids entertained

-

IT MAY not be holidays but that doesn’t mean families don’t have little ones bored at home.

If you have young children and are looking for something fun and interactive things for them to do, Grand Central is running a variety of activities in-centre.

The shopping centre’s first Making Rainbow session last week had 70 children in attendance.

Here is what’s coming up for children at Grand Central.

Story time with Cleo the Clown Monday, March 18 and Monday, April 29

Join Cleo the Clown on level one outside Myer and Australian Skin Clinics for story time.

Cleo’s story times bring to life important life topics such as dental care, road safety and remembering your manners through the use of puppets, props, music and movement.

Session times: 10.30am-10.50am, 11am-11.20am, 11.30am-11.50am, and noon-12.20pm

Making Rainbows - Wednesday, March 20 and Wednesday April 3

Visit Grand Central’s Tiny Town on level two near Harper Bee and join in the Making Rainbows music and movement program.

This program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework for children from birth to five years.

Making Rainbows chooses props and resources carefully to ensure that every part of the lesson is purposeful and beneficial to each child, whether it be for fine motor development (finger rhymes, instrument play), gross motor development (balancing on balls, hula hoops) or school readiness behaviours (sharing, taking turns, greeting/farewell songs).

Workshops will be held between 10am-noon, and the cost is $5.

Book your tickets through Eventbrite. Cookie Monster and Elmo show Wednesday, March 27

Join Cookie Monster and Elmo for two shows at 9.30am and 11.30am, with a meet and greet at 10.30am in Centre Court.
