A UNIQUE business with proven sales growth and an established reputation has been listed for sale in Toowoomba.

Central Healthfoods in Grand Central is on the market for $349,000 plus stock at value, with the current owner looking to retire.

“The current owners have had it for around 15 years and are looking to retire,” Mick Craig, director of Finn Franchise Brokers, said.

“The business has always shown solid growth, and continues to do so consistently.

“The owner has always invested in his businesses, it has been well looked after and it certainly has a lot of points of difference.”

Central Healthfoods opened in Toowoomba in 2004 and built itself into a leading supplier of natural products and knowledge for its loyal customers. It operates seven days a week.

Mr Craig said the store’s current staff were eager to remain with the business after sale.

“There is good staff, good knowledge staff, and I’m sure there would be a smooth transition to the new owners,” he said.

The store is one of two Mr Craig is currently offering to the market, with Foodworks at Southridge also listed for sale.

The Mackenzie St store is listed for $229,000 plus stock.

Mr Craig said the business showed profits increasing, and represented a “really good return on investment”.

“The owners have various business interests and are trying to rationalise those interests,” he said.

According to the online listing, the supermarket has a takeaway food element which could be expanded to include pizzas and kebabs.
