Power to battle the dry

-

THE team at Warrego Water Services on the Darling Downs understands the devastating consequences of the big dry that has gripped huge parts of Queensland and NSW. They have been working with farmers and water carters to help maximise water resources and beat the effects of drought.

With branches in Dalby, Toowoomba and Warwick, Warrego Water stocks and sells Aussie Pumps from one-inch Ultralites right through to the big four-inch QP402. Nicknamed the Aussie Drought Buster, the QP402 transfer pump delivers a reliable, efficient solution for moving large volumes of water with flows to 1800lpm.

Warrego Water’s Geoff Cole said with the drought biting hard, there was a need to move water.

“Either to fill tanks, refill dams or for stock watering, farmers and tanker operators need efficient pumps that move water fast,” he said.

“Aussie’s big pumps mean large volumes can be moved in less time and with less fuel.”

The oversized four-inch pump body is the secret to its huge 8.2m vertical selfpriming ability. This enables the pump to draw water from dams, wells and creeks.

Recent on-farm tests demonstrated the pump priming from a 3m lift in less than 30 seconds.

The pump’s self-priming capability and hydraulic design means it offers low fuel consumption and maximum pump performance.

The QP402 is powered by a genuine Honda GX series engine.

tested to ensure the engine is not overloaded.

As a result, Honda Australia has approved the pump under its three-year engine warranty program.

The Aussie QP pump is covered by Aussie Pump’s unique five-year pump end warranty. The pumps come standard in heavy-duty roll frames with anti-vibration mounts.

Free coupling and strainer kits are also supplied.

The pump body components are made from high-grade marine aluminium, ensuring long life.

The versatile Aussie Drought Busters are suitable for any applications that are needing high-volume water transfer.

They can be used to fast fill tankers, batter spray for dust suppression, flood irrigation and dewatering.

A high-pressure version for long-distance transfer is also available.
