1. NEWTOWN SCHOOL FETE

Where: Newtown State School, 24 Albert St, Toowoomba.
NEWTOWN State School is having its first triannual fete for 2019 today.
The event will have rides, stalls, a petting zoo, pony rides, food, plant stall, craft and games.
Have your photo taken with Batman and the Batmobile or play dunk the teacher.
Entry into the fete is free.
2. SOMETHING ABOUT BELLA
When: Today from 10am to 2pm
Where: Clewley Park, Water St, Toowoomba.
SOMETHING About Bella is a family-friendly event bringing the community together to celebrate the life of Bella Sky Drury, who passed away from sudden infant death syndrome in 2017.
A wide range of activities will be available, from face painting, barbecue, car and motorcycle show, raffles, live entertainment and more.

3. HANDMADE EXPO MARKET
When: Tomorrow from 9am to 2pm
Where: Harristown State School, 341-367 South St, Toowoomba.
A LARGE selection of more than 70 stallholders will feature handmade stalls from talented artisans and creators.
The stalls will fill the auditorium and the gardens around the hall at Harristown State School.
Stalls at the expo are exclusively handmade, baked or grown along with few quality crafting supplies for people to create their own handmade experience.

4. LIBRARY BOOK SALE
When: Today from 8am to 4pm Where: Highfields Fitness and Recreation Centre, Lot 9 Community Court, Highfields. EVERYONE is encouraged to bring their own bag where they can fill it for $5.
Every genre of book will be available during the sale.

5. GARDEN RELEAF
When: Today and tomorrow from 9am to 5pm
Where: The Springs Garden World, 333 Spring St, Toowoomba.
GARDEN Releaf will be held this weekend to raise funds for Beyond Blue and awareness about the benefits of participating in 30 minutes of garden therapy a week.
An array of activities will take place during the event such as children’s gardening activities, succulent garden lessons, live jazz performances on Sunday and more.

6. TOOWOOMBA BABY SHOW
When: Today from 11am to 2pm
Where: All Seasons Function Centre, Corner of Tor St and North St, Toowoomba.
CHARITY baby show production Baby Show Time will hold another fundraising competition to support Kids With Cancer Foundation Australia.
Entry fees for the contestants are $11 for the king and queen division and $5 for the additional novelty sections, while entry for spectators is free.
Dozens of trophies, ribbons and prizes to be given away.

7. FIRST COAT OPEN STUDIOS

THE First Coat Studios Open Studios provides an opportunity to meet the contemporary artists who are placed at the studio.
There will be a wide array of activities including a studio and archive sale, mural painting, a live vinyl DJ and more.

8. COUNTRY MUSIC RUSH

Where: Oakey Cultural Centre, Campbell St, Oakey.
THE weekend country music competition will have performances from amateur contestants of all ages.
Contestants will perform in more than 18 different sections.
Champion yodeller Laura Downing, with the support of Tony Wagner, will perform a concert tonight.
General admission is $10 for adults and $8 for aged pensioners.
Concert admission $10 if paid with general admission.
Patrons arriving after 5pm for the concert will pay $15.
Roast meals will be available tonight at $15.

9. STREET SCIENCE

THE Cobb and Co Museum will turn into a science playground for today with free immersive and family-friendly events for everyone to enjoy.
Take part in a range of hands-on activities that explore everything from new technology to environmental conservation.
Activities will be brought by Queensland Museum marine animal experts, Cooby Creek Space Tracking Station past staff members, Soil Science Australia, Cirrus Robotics and more.

10. MOVIE NIGHT

THE Jondaryan Woolshed invites everyone to its village green for a family movie night.
Classic Australian favourite The Man from Snowy River will be screened on the night.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the event.
