ONE of Toowoomba’s most popular fast-food restaurants has finished a massive refurbishment, as part of a $20 million shopping centre upgrade.

Hungry Jack’s at the Wilsonton Shopping Centre, which is regularly one of the best performing restaurants in Queensland according to sales, has full re-opened after big changes to the interior and exterior of the site.

The store is one of several retailers to complete a refurbishment as part of the shopping centre’s renovations, which was bought by Consolidated Properties Group in July last year for $50 million.

CPG executive director Craig O’Donnell said it was great news ahead of the full reopening of Wilsonton Shopping Centre in a couple of months.

“They’ve done a full external upgrade of the facade and full internal upgrade. It’s a full makeover,” he said.

That Hungry Jack’s is one of the leading operators and stores in its group in Queensland.

Hungry Jack’s chief marketing officer Scott Baird said the Wilsonton store still featured the same menu.

“The new and improved restaurant will feature a 24-hour drive through, state-of-the-art kitchen and Hungry Jack’s signature new interior design, creating a fun and welcoming dining experience in one of the premier retail hubs of Toowoomba,” he said.

Mr O’Donnell said CPG had some major announcements still to make about new tenants within the Wilsonton Shopping Centre, which would be revealed in the coming weeks.

“Our focus at the moment is on improving casual dining and we’ve got a handful of deals I’m unable to announce right now,” he said.

“Some of those deals will be quite impressive to customers and shoppers.”
