FROM THE STAND

Race 1: Here Mail Escort was impossible to lay and the bookies were $3.60 with no takers. There was small money for Factory Warrior at $3.80 and rough specking for Red Wedding at $14. The winner Clockwise had support at $5 to give the bookies a break square result to kick off with.

Race 2: Evamac and Glenbawns Dutchess were equal favourites at $4 each and both attracted small bets. There was rough specking for Card Tricks at $21. The winner in Abb Roy was backed the night before from $17 into $11 and no real money came back to the track. Race 3: The connection­s were on Watchman and Alleviator who saw good bets each-way at $7. Conquer more was very hard to lay and the bookies were $3.40 at jump time with little takers. The winner, Real Patriot was the big short ner moving from $5.50 into start at $3.30. The money came on track at $3.60 to give the bookies a bad result.

Race 4: A good betting race and the bookies got to lay all the runners. Ardoyne Road was easy to lay at $4. Seclude saw good cash bets on tracks and one good phone bet of $800 at $3.60. There was roughs pecking for Let it rip potato chip at $51. The Bumblebee was the bookie' s favourite with cash bets at $5.50. The winner Man in Montion went into the book at $4.20 and the bookies got away with a small win.

Race 5: The connection­s put their hard earned on By By Music at $26. There was good specking for Jakama at $26 and Fillyrae Cyrus at $18. There was phone money for Mocking at $12. The winner Better Thinking was $3.80 into $3.50 and punters left the bookied out of the business.

Race 6: Bay of Dragons was backed at $12 and would have been a bad result for bookie. There was good money for Sgurr Mor at $21 and Pump Action at $61. The favourite Flaunt looked a treat in the enclosure and punters took the $1.80 on offer and the matter was never in doubt.

Race 8: A quite betting race to finish off on with only the needy and the greedy left. The Currie Army came for the winner Dan ni wil lb reez on by to send the bookies home a loser on the night.
