2. BROXBURN BASH

THE Broxburn Music Club of Pittsworth is a community associatio­n that plays, encourages, enjoys and performs all kinds of music. Each year, the club holds its annual Music Bash.

The event includes a talent quest with a $1000 major prize and a series of $250 category prizes.

Weekend camping is available.

3. MUSIC AND FOOD FEST

WHERE: Cecil Plains Homestead,

Toowoomba Cecil Plains Rd

CECIL Plains Music and Food Fest is a family fun day with live music supplied by the band “Dirty Water”, sheep shearing, bush tucker demonstrat­ion, vintage car display and lots more.

All proceeds from the day will go to the Lions Drought Relief Appeal.

4. BITES AND BEATS

WHEN: Today, 3pm-9pm WHERE: The Mills Precinct

BITES and Beats is an amazing twilight boutique market reflecting an inner-city Eat Street vibe.

Indulge in a smorgasbor­d of delicious cuisines from food vendors and browse the Designer Market Alley. There will be music, licensed bar and kids activities.

5. NO BULL ROCK FESTIVAL

IF YOU love hard rock, the No Bull Festival is promising 11 fantastic local and Brisbane acts across two stages.

6. YOGA 4 DIGNITY

WHERE: St Paul’s Lutheran Church Hall

NATIONAL charity organisati­on, Share the Dignity, is calling for Australian­s to register to take part in Yoga 4 Dignity.

Join a class with local yoga teachers from Every Body Yoga and Kickstart Martial Arts and Yoga - Toowoomba and help raise funds and awareness of the issues faced by women and girls experienci­ng homelessne­ss, domestic violence and period poverty. Tickets via www.sharethedi­gnity.com.au.

7. A SCOTTISH EVENING

WHEN: Today, 7pm WHERE: Drayton Memorial Hall, Brisbane St

UNLEASH your inner Scotsman at a special night presented by The Caledonian Society and Pipe Band.

There will be called dances, so don’t worry if you don’t know the steps.

Please bring a plate of food to share for supper and there will be a bar available. Tickets $10 at the door.

8. BIG BAND EXTRAVAGAN­ZA

WHERE: The Armitage Centre, Empire Theatres

TOOWOOMBA Grammar School Junior and Senior School musicians will provide an evening of enjoyable big band and RnB tunes.

There will be table seating with cheese platters available.

9. BOWLING FOR KIDS

WHEN: Today, 4.30pm-6.30pm WHERE: Sunset Superbowl, corner of South and Greenwattl­e Sts

JOIN the fun in an 11-day carnival of friendly competitio­n currently underway at Sunset Superbowl.

You and your family can join the fun by participat­ing in a special event in aid of Triple M’s Give Me 5 for Kids charity.

Entries cost $20 for two games including shoe hire and there are heaps of prizes to be won.

10. RUN WITH DAD

WHEN: Tomorrow, 7.30am WHERE: Queens Park

RUN with Dad is a charity fundraiser aimed at raising money and awareness for prostate cancer and men’s health.

This year, the five kilometre Fun Run will also include a family barbecue breakfast. Tickets via eventbrite.com.au.
