Women start podcast to help local business

-

A TOOWOOMBA mother-of-two has just launched a podcast aimed at helping regional business owners grow and succeed.

Melissa Dickfos is working with Coffs Harbour woman Cath Fowler to bring her their new venture, Regional Roar podcast, to life.

With millions of Australians tuning into podcasts, Regional Roar will air a new episode every fortnight, sharing the success stories of regional businesses throughout Australia.

People will be able to listen to inspirational success stories from regional businesses; from solo business owners and tradies to big companies.

Being digital marketers themselves, the podcast will also share business and marketing tips, together with other expert guests.

Mrs Dickfos said supporting regional businesses was really close to her heart.

“I grew up Kingaroy and love the tight-knit community feel that regional towns have,” she said.

“Starting a podcast that showcases successful businesses and helps to inspire others is the perfect way to put regional Australia on the map.”

Mrs Fowler grew up in metropolitan New South Wales and said she now had a passion for helping businesses stand out online.

“Despite growing up in the city, I have quickly become accustomed to the slightly slower pace of regional living,” she said.

“Successful businesses can be found in the city and the country. And we want everyone in Australia to see that the little guys can compete on the big stage too”.
