THREE women caught on camera in a bizarre rampage and stealing spree from a Toowoomba adult shop have been identified by police.

CCTV footage of the theft at Love Heart Adult Shop in the CBD showed the efforts the wanted women went to in order to steal a wig, police outfit and cuffs on Wednesday, September 25.

The women, who were believed to be intoxicated at the time, rushed through the store doors when one of them selected some lingerie and went into the changing room.

Store staff asked the woman to leave her handbag and any toys outside of the change room - a request which was denied - and she was seen ripping barcodes from items and putting them into her bag.

When the woman was approached by a staff member, it escalated into a scuffle which drew the focus of the worker as the other two women took items from the other side of the store.

One of the trio left the store with items, triggering the security buzzer at the front door. The other two ran from the shop.

One of the women stole a wig on the way out.

The bizarre incident was recorded on CCTV and shared to the Love Heart Adult Shop’s Facebook page, calling for help in identifying the women.

That information has been handed to police who confirmed to The Chronicle the women had been identified.

Senior Sergeant Tony Neumann said investigations were continuing but they had identified “suspects” connected to the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
