TIME is running out to enter our unforgettable New Zealand adventure competition.

The lucky winner will take three friends on an eight-day exploration to some of Lower South New Zealand’s stunning sights and experiences.

One of the highlights of the trip is undoubtedly the Roxburgh Gorge trail cycling journey – a spectacular one-day ride through the Roxburgh Gorge in truly iconic country.

This one-day adventure not only has some amazing cycling but also includes an enjoyable and informative 13km jet boat ride on the Clutha River/Mata Au.

In places, this trail can be steeper than the Rail Trail, with some climbs and downhill sections, however the views and scenery make it well worthwhile. This scenic trail offers the opportunity to explore a unique New Zealand landscape, with every season offering a different experience. Trail Journeys operates cycling holidays on New Zealand’s spectacular Otago Central Rail Trail, Roxburgh Gorge, and Clutha Gold Trails.

Or how about a penguin encounter? Chat with David McFarlane, field manager of Yellow Eyed Penguin Trust, the not-for-profit organisation dedicated to protecting and saving penguin habitats. While watching these delightful creatures, you’ll learn that penguins do far more than make us smile – they play important roles in our ecosystems both in the ocean and on the land.

Since 2003, Mr McFarlane has been one of the resident experts at the trust, working with nest searching, marking of the chicks with transponders, performing moulting penguin checks, and working closely with other motivated and dedicated staff including the ranger and scientist.

These are just two of the incredible experiences planned in this eight-day ‘Land of the Long White Cloud’ adventure. You’ll enjoy eight glorious days experiencing some of New Zealand’s very best, including an exquisite winery tour and lunch with your very own private helicopter ride, a guided tour of Emerson’s craft brewery, and a truly indulgent visit to Omarama Hot Tubs to unwind after all the action, plus so much more.

To get around with ease, you’ll be travelling in your own rental car courtesy of Go Rentals, a proudly Kiwi-owned and operated carboNZero and Qualmark Gold-certified car rental company which has been helping travellers explore New Zealand since 1997.

The prize also includes four return airfares and eight nights’ accommodation with daily breakfast. The competition closes on October 27.
