Toowoomba tour company developing unique tours to China
A TOOWOOMBA tour company and the Chinese Government in Sichuan Province have agreed to collaborate on the development of a unique tourism offering.
Alan Williams, managing director of WillJie Unique Tour Company Pty Ltd, has returned from recent meetings with Chinese Government officials in Sichuan Province and senior executives from leading
Chinese travel companies, centred on developing unique small group tours to and from China and Australia.
He was accompanied by his daughter and company director Philippa Nicol.
Mr Williams said there was a particularly interest in WillJie UTC’s philosophy for small group-focused tours.
“We want our customers to not only see the famous sights but importantly to cherish the unique experiences of their tours,” he said.
“Our expertise lies in being able to accommodate their special interests”.
WillJie UTC is a joint venture between the Williams family of Toowoomba and the You Jie family of Leshan City in Sichuan.
WillJie UTS tours to China (including Tibet and Inner
Mongolia), Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia and include not only the famous sights such as The Great Wall, The Terra Cotta Warriors, The Giant Buddha, and others, but also incorporate uniqueness based on WillJie UTS’s considerable experience and numerous personal contacts in China.
Tours to Australia will be centred on Queensland’s special qualities.
An outcome of the meetings was the establishment of a China-Australia Research Study Travel Co-operation and Mr Williams was invited to join the Sichuan Working Group as an active member.
He was also nominated as a delegate to the prestigious World Research Travel Organisation.
He is to deliver a paper, based on the WillJie UTS’s philosophy, at the WRTO’s world conference to be held in Leshan City, Sichuan, in April this year.
