Pallets for charity auction

-

THE Toowoomba Hospital Foundation is calling on all handymen and women to up cycle wooden pallets into practical items and furniture to raise funds for sick kids in hospital for this year’s Triple M Darling Downs Give Me 5 for Kids Appeal.

Registrations are now open for the community to sign up to build a pallet creation which will be auctioned off at the Toowoomba Orthodontists Pop Up Pallets event on Friday, July 17.

Toowoomba Hospital Foundation CEO Alison Kennedy said the foundation was excited to see this year’s pallet creations following the success of 2019’s record fundraising event.

“Last year we raised a record amount of nearly $15,000 for the Triple M Darling Downs Give Me 5 For Kids Appeal thanks to the wonderful generosity of our attendees. We’re hoping to beat that amount this year and encourage all local craftsmen and DIY enthusiasts to register as creators,” she said.

“Whether you’re a qualified carpenter or simply love a DIY challenge we welcome our local community, businesses and groups to register. We can’t wait to see what everyone creates.”

Chris Turnock from Toowoomba Orthodontists said they’re proud to be part of the event for the third year.

Registrations to submit a pallet creation must meet all guidelines to be considered for auction. Strictly one item per individual, organisation or group.
