Get those nominations in

- BY LINDA ROSENGREEN REGIONAL MANAGER – DOWNS AND WESTERN

IT’S time to shout it from the rooftops and get our builders and tradies the recognition they deserve.

Master Builders Housing & Construction Awards is kicking off across the state with 2020 entries now open.

For more than 30 years, the Awards have been the building and construction industry’s most prestigious accolade.

Attracting entries from builders and tradies alike, the program caters for all sectors and price ranges, recognising projects from humble renovations, through to luxury high-end homes and iconic commercial projects.

With three rounds to the Awards – regional, state and nationals – competition is fierce and a win at any level is truly a huge and incredible achievement.

Last year, our region’s builders swept the floor, taking out six state titles and two national gongs:

National Project Home – $750,000 to $1 million went to Bryant Brothers Building Group Pty Ltd for Hampton Park (Downs & Western).

National Project Home – $1 million to $2 million was awarded to Nick Ruhle Homes Pty Ltd for Rascal Views (Downs & Western).

With challenging building sites that produce stunning aspects and outlooks, our region is well known for putting up incredible buildings and quality craftsmanship.

I really want to encourage both companies and individuals to submit their best builds, no matter how big or small the project.

Impostor syndrome impacts all of us, but you shouldn’t let that stop you.

And the reality is, you’ve got to be in it to win it.

Our industry wouldn’t be what it is today without the continued hard work and dedication of those working in our industry.

The Housing & Construction Awards are the perfect opportunity for builders, trade contractors and their teams to get the recognition they deserve.

There’s a category to suit almost every type of builder, with options available for small, medium and large building businesses, plus speciality tradespeople, apprentices and trade contractors.

Some of the highest accolades include the President’s Award, Project of the Year, House of the Year, Best Residential Kitchen, Best Residential Bathroom and Best Residential Swimming Pool, while Awards like

Rising Star, Women in Building and Apprentice of the Year cater for individual entrants.

Entries close for our region on April 21 with winners to be revealed at our Awards ceremony on July 25 at Rumours International Convention Centre.

Visit www.mbqld.com.au/hcawards for more information on entry requirements, categories, dates and conditions.
