How Grand Central is keeping shoppers safe

-

GRAND Central has ramped up its cleaning rotations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all who visit the shopping centre.

Grand Central centre manager Claire Torkington said the safety and wellbeing of all their customers, retailers and staff was always their overriding priority and something the centre took extremely seriously.

“As a precaution, we have increased our cleaning rotations and strengthened the focus on disinfecting commonly touched areas in the centre, which include, but are not limited to, communal areas and furniture, lifts, door handles, hand railings, the food court, and bathroom amenities.

“We are closely monitoring updates from the Australian Government Department of Health and other relevant health authorities, in relation to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

“We are regularly sharing the advice from authorities with our retailers, staff and contractors, and will continue to update this advice, as necessary.”

Mrs Torkington encouraged the community to take on advice from the health department to assist in mitigating the spread of COVID-19.

“We have also positioned Australian Health Department-issued posters, which detail instructions on how to ‘stop the spread of the virus’ in all our amenity facilities for our community to reference.

“We encourage anyone who has any further questions about the Coronavirus to contact Queensland Health on 1343 2584.”
