Not afraid to be the voice for growth and opportunity

-

I AM Melissa Taylor, fourth generation and managing director of Taylor’s Removals.

It is my belief in and my passion for our family business and our region that has led me to my decision to run for council, representing the people and businesses of our region.

Our region deserves inclusive, committed and effective representation on council.

I offer a strong voice, passion and extensive business experience.

I have a great respect for the people of our region, for the businesses that support our region, and for the rich traditions that guide our past, present and future.

I love where I live, and I want to ensure the entire region feels included and our future is prosperous.

I am all about courage over comfort – I will have the courage of my convictions, stand up for what I believe in and not be a casual bystander.

I will be the voice for opportunity and growth by listening first and having frank and honest conversations with residents of our communities, then delivering on my promises and offering answers and solutions that can work.

My key areas of focus are: Our region

Our families

Our businesses

I want to work with the grassroots of our community.

I want to work with your local community, listen to your local concerns and issues.

While much has been accomplished in the past, there is much to do, especially in delivering and attracting business and investment to this region – creating job-generating projects.

It is imperative that the region is run with affordability and efficiency as paramount consideration.

I am committed to representing our region in a fair and balanced way where nobody and no community is left behind.
