Grabham for council
I BELIEVE that I have the strength and determination to stand up for and find practical solutions to any issue.
Living and working in the Toowoomba region, my 20 years of experience in small business, and working as a community development practitioner, has taught me to look at the big picture.
It is vital to plan for the future while dedicating ourselves to an affordable, creative, modern and inclusive city.
My approach as a councillor will be to make myself available for all of the Toowoomba Council regions.
You can expect to see me out and about.
I will collaborate for solutions in water security, fire reduction, and essential infrastructure reliability, while planning for long term growth.
My community development work, aged care and mental health skills will be critical to accommodate the coronavirus situation in which we will find ourselves.
Council will need to work closely with you and the State and Federal government health and financial services for our community’s wellbeing.
My considered approach will support our community through this health pandemic and lifestyle changes.
As our economy settles, I plan to take a three-stage environmentally-friendly, disability-friendly lagoon fun park plan to council – which will also assist in driving tourism.
The park will include an environmental education centre and treetop walks, which could be generated by our indigenous architects and rangers for the study of culture and to sustain the Toowoomba Range’s flora and fauna.
The Toowoomba region needs an influential, full-time councillor to bring balance to our area; one not afraid to challenge the status quo when required, while still possessing the ability to work collaboratively with other councillors and staff to maximise the region’s potential.
