Climate change

SOME great letters recently on the topic of “Climate change” by M.J. Elias and John Billingsley, among others.

Geoff Castle, Gerard Hore and Co are still claiming that Co2 is a greenhouse gas superheating the earth when it is in fact doing the exact opposite.

H20 is in fact responsible for more warming than Co2. Co2 is a coolant, we use it in refrigeration along with ammonia, it is not responsible for trapping heat in our atmosphere, it’s instead reflecting up to 95% of the sun’s radiation back into space and cooling the earth preventing us from overheating. I guess some climate alarmists aren’t familiar with Boltzmann’s law of radiation.

Since earth’s creation, it has been continuously cooling, not warming and billions of years of history clearly shows that.

If earth’s minuscule atmospheric level of less than 1% Co2 was cooking us, Mars would be a fireball hotter than Mercury.

Mars is a frozen planet with an average temp of -60°C. Regardless of the extra distance from the sun compared to earth and its elliptical orbit, Mars has had billions of years for its atmosphere to “trap and retain heat” from the sun, (as the climate alarmists claim it does.)

With an atmospheric Co2 level around 96% – I guess Co2 only causes “global warming” on earth, (a planet at less than 1% atmospheric Co2 after just 200 years right?) What a joke.

The science is settled, “climate change” was a bunch of nonsense made up by Al Gore to sell books to Californians.

NASA is working towards establishing a permanent human colony on Mars, (a planet with 95% more atmospheric Co2 than earth – go figure.) Gee, if future humans cause a 0.05% Co2 level rise on Mars, will it too succumb to climate change and “global warming” over night? Man-made climate change is the greatest con of the 21st century.
