THE pubs are reopening after a brief hiatus thanks to COVID-19 – so what better time to buy? Here are five watering holes from the region that are listed or sale.
The Shamrock Hotel Motel, Toowoomba
THE Shamrock Hotel Motel is on the market for a tidy $6.75m, and is a “perfect opportunity” for investors, according to Ray White Commercial Toowoomba’s Geoff Percy.
The hotel enjoys a highprofile position on Ruthven St, and its 3253 sq m land parcel includes a bar, bistro and dining area, gaming room compromising 39 gaming machines, function room, as well as a motel reception and office for its 32 rooms.
The Spotted Cow, Toowoomba
THE owners of one Toowoomba’s oldest hotels have decided to call last drinks in the pub game.
With more than two decades running The Spotted Cow’s, Mick and Dianne Coorey plan to take life a bit easier.
Licensed in 1892, The Spotted Cow at 296 Ruthven St has diversified income streams including bar, food, functions, entertainment and 20 gaming machines.
Western Line Hotel, Oakey
A Longstanding pub and hotel in the western Toowoomba region has hit the market through an EOI campaign.
Sovereign Property Partners listed the Western Line Hotel in Oakey for sale last week.
The pub, which earned its name from its proximity to the western railway line and Oakey train station, features a public bar, dining room, 12 accommodation rooms upstairs, drive-through bottle shop, and more.
Five Ways Hotel, Toowoomba
THE Five Ways Hotel is on the market for expressions of interest.
The hotel includes accommodation upstairs, public bar, gaming room with 18 poker machine entitlements, 65-seat restaurant, KENO, TAB, commercial kitchen and plenty of parking.
The pub was recently leased to publican Michael McDonald, who has plans for a staged reopening that will revitalise the venue.
Royal Hotel, Yarraman
THE Royal Hotel in Yarraman has been put on the market as a tenanted investment.
For sale for $1.1 million, The Royal Hotel has been a part of Yarraman since they had to mow the main street.
Billed as an investment opportunity, the pub has an excellent trading record.
