Chronicle expands regional coverage

- STEVE ETWELL Editor-in-chief

THIS week many of our smaller regional newspapers have ceased their print editions.

However The Chronicle will continue in print and online.

Many of the smaller mastheads in our region will now move to a fully digital model.

This has presented us with an opportunity to expand The Chronicle’s offering even further.

Warwick, Stanthorpe and Surat Basin newspapers have printed their last editions this week.

But the news is not going anywhere, and you’ll still be able to read every line their reporters write online.

To cater for the thousands of loyal print readers these papers have, The Chronicle will be starting regionalised pages for our region.

The Warwick Daily News’ journalists’ best stories will appear in The Chronicle every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The best of the Stanthorpe Border Post stories will appear in The Chronicle on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The best of the stories from the Surat Basin newspapers will also appear in The Chronicle Roma on Tuesdays and Fridays, Chinchilla and Charleville on Thursdays and Dalby on Fridays.

Add our region’s stories to The Chronicle that carries the best of state, national, international, finance and sport coverage, and I’m convinced you’ll enjoy the experience even more.

The beauty of the online model is that it can carry far more memories than a few pages of print can.

Stopping the print editions in Warwick, Stanthorpe and the Surat Basin is not the end of the story. It’s a new and exciting chapter.

We promise to continue to be your biggest and best news source and the extra regional news will make The Chronicle an even better read.

It’s all about the amazing news we deliver; not how we deliver it.
