Sound of music fills our parks

-

THE sounds of the Toowoomba Concert Band will once again lighten the mood in Laurel Bank Park from this weekend.

Today will be the first time since the pandemic began that the band has performed in the park.

The band can regularly be heard performing among the flowers and trees.

Conductor Dennis Macdonnell said today’s performance would begin at 1pm, weather permitting.

“The music will be light hearted to match the joy we all feel to listen once again to live music,” he said.

“It will include What a Wonderful World, Great Escape March, Waltzing Matilda, Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones and I Am Australian.”
