Spring is sprung and a Garden City is in bloom

- CHAMBER CHAT TODD ROHL

WELCOME to the first day of spring.

It is celebrated in many cultures around the word as flowers begin to blossom, the earth starts to warm up and many animals awaken from their winter resting place.

It is a time for new beginnings. Significantly, Toowoomba’s spring event, the Carnival of Flowers was created to lever off the city’s reputation

AS WE HEAD TO SPRING, WE HAVE A LOT OF PEOPLE TO THANK FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO THE CITY AND A LOT OF THINGS WE CAN DO TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY.

LET’S GET OUR AND MEET OUR MANY UNSUNG HEROES OF THE CITY IN A COVID SAFE WAY AND THANK THEM AND ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR EFFORTS.

TODD ROHL, CHAMBER CEO

as a “Garden City” to promote economic activity.

It is a celebration of spring.

It takes the world stage, attracts a worldwide audience and delivers millions of dollars to the economy of Toowoomba and the region.

It is an event which had its birthplace at the Toowoomba Chamber.

This event was and is built on the tender loving care of all gardeners in the city.

It has a long and rich tradition shared among generations.

I would like to acknowledge the years of dedication, time and effort of everyone to create this event.

To make it what it has become.

It is an event built on many people’s distinct individual and collaborative efforts.

While it will look and feel different in 2020, the chamber thanks you for your contribution in honouring the Garden City we live in today.

Your individual efforts have made and still make a significant impact on the Toowoomba economy.

Your work helps support small business by attracting people to this great city to spend money in local shops.

As we head to spring, we have a lot of people to thank for their contribution to the city and a lot of things we can do to support the community.

Let’s get out and meet our many unsung heroes of the city in a COVID-safe way and thank them and acknowledge their efforts.

Their efforts have helped and will continue to help small business.

In a very disruptive year, I am looking forward to seeing the city bloom in spring. Aren’t you?
