Program to drop weight
A TOOWOOMBA woman has a new lease on life after becoming involved in a gut health program, and shedding 25kg in a matter of months.
The best part is she’s been able to keep the weight off over the course of a year and has more energy than ever.
Susan Popple, 52, weighed 149kg at her heaviest and realised she was unhealthy and wanted to do something about it.
“In the beginning, my health was not the best and I was starting to realise that the older I got, the more issues I would run into with my health, so I decided to choose clean living and gut health,” she said.
“Since starting my weight loss journey I have been able to lose an amazing amount of weight and keep it off.”
Ms Popple had tried many diets but hadn’t found one that worked for her or that she could really stick with.
That was until she found the gut health program Goop Gang. Goop Gang is a gut cleanse and weight-loss program designed to teach people about healthy food consumption, coupled with a supplement routine.
According to Ms Popple, it is a three-stage process over 44 days involving detoxing, weight loss and maintenance.
People can take part just the once or continually start the process over until they achieve their ideal weight.
Ms Popple believes in the program so much that she became a mentor, to use her experience to help others. “As mentors we are fully trained and we have a gut health program which has been designed by a clinical dietitian,” she said.
“Anyone over the age of 18 can do this program and succeed, all you need is the determination and I am happy to be there to support you along the way.”
Ms Popple’s weight loss journey is ongoing with the end goal of weighing 80kg.
