Power 100 online today

-

THE 2020 Power 100 will launch exclusively to The Chronicle’s digital subscribers online today.

Readers will be able to see who placed numbers 100 to 91 in the biennial countdown on The Chronicle’s website from 3pm.

That list will then be published in print tomorrow.

The countdown will follow this pattern for the next 11 days, with the list being revealed online to digital subscribers the day before the print edition comes out (there will be no reveal on Saturday as we don’t have a Sunday print edition).

As a hint to those keen to guess who is involved in today’s reveal, every person who features in spots 100 to 91 has never featured in the Power 100 before.

They include some somewhat new faces to town who have made a strong first impact and seasoned local activists.

Two years ago The Chronicle brought you the inaugural Power 100, the ultimate ranking of Toowoomba’s movers and shakers, the people that make this city what it is.

A lot has changed in Toowoomba since 2018.

The game-changing Toowoomba Bypass opened, business leaders have come and gone and the COVID-19 pandemic has up-ended life as we know it.

This has impacted who appears in the list this year.

There are some returning faces from the 2018 list, and some new ones.

They are the people you know, but also the people you don’t, the ones who work behind the scenes without much public recognition.
