Wednesday 9th September the ladies played an 18 Hole Stroke Flag event, with the winner being Dawn Bradford who finished on the 18th green. Runner up was Hazel Harvey who finished on the 18th Fairway and the run down went to Jaynie Brown who finished on the 18th fairway also. Winner of the front 9 was Kathy Fenton with 18pts, and the back 9 winner was Iris Thompson with 21pts. Next Wednesday 16th September the ladies will play an 18 Hole Stableford competition. Winner of the sporters on Thursday 10th September was Michael Rietveld with 26pts on a count back. Runner up was Terris Muir with 26pts and the pin shot was won by Dan Norton. The Annual Oakey/Goombungee interclub was held on Sunday 13th September at Goombungee. Goombungee was the winner 381 to Oakey’s 305. Winners for Oakey were Andrew King for the men with 32pts and the ladies winner was Iris Thompson with 41pts. Runner up were Michael Rietveld with 31pts and the ladies was Jenna King with 32pts. Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September members will play an 18 Hole Stableford. Sunday 20th September will be the members foursomes over 27 holes. The finals of the 2020 DDLBA Pennant Season have concluded, resulting in a win to North Toowoomba (A) for Division 1 (Blue Flag) with 4 Points + 17 against their opponents West Toowoomba (A) runner-up in Division 1 with 0 points -17: In Division 2 (Red Flag) West Toowoomba (B) were the winners with 2 + 9 against their opponents, Toowoomba runners-up with 2 – 9 points:

In Division 3 (Yellow Flag) Laidley were the winners with 3 +3 points against their opponents North Toowoomba (B) runners-up with 1 – 3 points. Congratulations, well done to all the winners and also to all those who participated in this year’s Pennant Season.

The next event on the calendar is the DDLBA Champion of Club Champion Singles to be played this Friday September 18 at Toowoomba Club. Those players nominated are:J. Allen-Best (North Toowoomba), M. Results of two games of consistency singles played last Thursday M. Hughes d J.Muggleton, and M.Mitchell d J.Charles. Both these games were a joy to watch as they were quite close. Next week M.Mitchell will play P.Talbot Marker M.Hughes in the final of this competition. Also this week 17th a meeting will be held following bowls and lunch. A reminder to ladies the DDLBA pairs nominations close 2nd Oct. with play on 7th Oct.
