Captain Phil Harris was a legend on the Bering Sea. He spent decades fishing the icy and treacherous waters off the coast of Alaska and captained the F/V Cornelia Marie for more than 20 years. After his tragic passing, his son Josh Harris (pictured) took over the family business along with business partner Casey McManus. This seven-part series sees Josh embark on the adventure of a lifetime to discover his old man’s legacy. In tonight’s season premiere, the discovery of mysterious fishing charts aboard the Cornelia Marie leads co-captains Josh and Casey to Hawaii to learn what Josh’s late father was trying to accomplish decades ago. Along the way they meet Jeff Silva, one of the island’s top commercial fisherman, who’ll help them decipher Phil’s charts and the many mysteries of his time in Hawaii.
