THE law is something of a family affair for Daniel Creevey Jr.

After studying his degree at the Queensland University of Technology for four years, Daniel was recently admitted as a solicitor at the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Dan Creevey Sr, the 23-yearold lawyer was appointed at Creevey Russell Lawyers.

His father and aunt Clare Creevey are co-principals of the local law firm where Mr Creevey Jr worked as a law clerk in the crime and misconduct division while completing his degree.

“When I was doing my clerk shifts, I was predominantly doing crime, and I’ll hopefully be doing that for the foreseeable future,” Mr Creevey said.

“I am very excited about the opportunity to continue with the criminal law team at Creevey Russell Lawyers and to achieve successful outcomes for our clients.”

The recent law graduate said after taking an interest in legal studies in high school he decided to pursue a career in the field.

He said his dad was very proud and the family celebrated the news on the day of his admission.

“We are all proud that Daniel has been admitted as a solicitor, and I am sure he will continue to go from strength to strength,” Mr Creevey Sr said.

“He is keen to continue focusing on criminal justice and help build that sector for the firm – Daniel is also eager to hit the road and get out to the rural areas to assist regional Queenslanders.”

The Toowoomba-based legal firm is at 1 Kitchener St, East Toowoomba.
