POLICE are searching for several vehicles stolen from the Toowoomba area in recent days and have appealed for the public to be on alert.

A grey 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander wagon (920XHK) was stolen after offenders broke into a Darling Heights home on July 6.

Toowoomba Detective Senior Sergeant Paul McCusker said police sighted the vehicle on several occasions and it was linked to at least one evasion offence and a burglary.

2016 Audi A1 hatchback (308YYR) was stolen from an East Toowoomba home on July 6 along with a Land Rover wagon.

Sgt McCusker said the Land Rover was located in Brisbane but the Audi remained active in Toowoomba and was linked to fuel drive offs.

“It was sighted by police as recently as Saturday,” he said.

A white 2000 Mitsubishi Titan tray back truck (523SED, pictured) was stolen from Metro Tiles South Toowoomba premise on Sunday.

Sgt McCusker said the vehicle would stand out because it bore the store’s branding.

Other stolen vehicles include a black 2011 Lexus IS250 (424XVC) sedan that was stolen from a Prince Henry Heights address via a burglary at the weekend and a black 2017 Audi Q3 (385XFX) that was stolen from a Cotswold Hills home sometime late on Friday night or Saturday morning.

Sgt McCusker urged residents to keep their homes and vehicle keys secure at all times and report suspicious activity.

“Police believe some of these vehicles may not be bearing the same plates and the offenders may have parked them in side streets with the intention of coming back to commit further offences,” he said.
