• Regarding dogs in the hardware store. I saw a Blue Heeler pushing a Dachshund around in one of the smaller trolleys. They had some new food bowls, dogfood, grungy pig and pet blankets to buy. They did not worry me at all.

• Dogs should actually be allowed in many more places, not just Bunnings. Like in France where you can take your dog anywhere.

• It would make one sick to see how the media is crawling after Albanese. Even made a documentary going to his house. Don’t recall this happening to any other prime minister.

• With regard to Chron, 8/7, article on rental properties. I have owned a rental property for quite a long time. When I first started renting I managed it myself to save few dollars, it was the only time I had few minor problems, since then have used real estate agents, can‘t see how some of damage incurred if managed by real estate and inspected three monthly, should have picked it up and cancelled lease or corrected early, same with rent. I currently use real estate people for many years, had no problems. People must realise if they get a bad record they won’t rent another especially with tight market at present.

• Unnecessary confusion and despair for Ukrainian people with Mr Albanese not understanding the humanitarian visa expire July

14. These people are desperate, confused and in despair as to their future and should not be subjected to such misinformation. They are hearing about expiry of such visas regardless as to whether it can be extended or not.

• Disappointing that the govt is upgrading Ruthven Street, but doesn’t bother to notify nearby property owners of this and how it will affect their property. The govt is quick to send out land valuations!
