• Ramping plus. Why do people still not believe in Covid Vax yet selfishly beg for hospital beds? Why are e.g. 56 Aldi customers unmasked yet only four masked while authorities beg the “law” of our common sense to comply? Why is more publicity needed in this escalating crisis while you wonderfully dedicated and overloaded yet fewer medicos beg for relief? Such belligerence is natural selection but takes out innocent victims. Common sense is tragically rare sense. Wake up folks or die. Begging you.

• So Yazidi man finds it unacceptable for children having to interpret for families. As a German descendant, there was no Govt assistance for my ancestors and it was normal for children to interpret. Our families did it tough.

• Pandemic leave payments: The extension of the expiry date would have been considered by any party. The negative rhetoric against the previous government being responsible needs to end as both major parties agreed to the introduction of the original payment which included the 30 June expiry date. The media and Labor need to move on and be positive.

• Qld Health has now finally acknowledged that hospitals are in crisis. What’s new? They have been in crisis for many years ever since the nurses wage debacle. I have a relative who is a midwife at Caboolture hosp which has been greatly understaffed for years. Many nurses are asked to do double 12 hour shifts, which is not safe for mothers, babies or the staff. We, the public deserve better health care.
