The Voice to parliament isn’t about dividing us by race. Indigenous peoples have unique rights and interests because of their status as Indigenous peoples. This reform will provide proper recognition of Indigenous peoples status and will enable Indigenous peoples to provide advice to parliament and government on issues that impact Indigenous, including all of the well known but poorly addressed practical issues that many Indigenous peoples face.

Re: Ruminants methane emissions. I agree with David Littleproud, there is no reliable way to reduce methane gas from ruminants, even with the push for the use of the sea weed pill. Why single out cattle? Be interesting to know how this will be achieved with all the feral and other ruminant animals.

LH Torrington TV 19 Oct. Indigenous members of parliament do still have opportunities to voice their concerns (free speech) and if they are bound by rules of their political party on Indigenous issues they need to be true to their heritage and speak up or leave the political party and join Jacinta Price who is a true advocate for Indigenous people and not go down the same path of those who are in favour of the Voice proposal.
