I agree entirely with Barry Masters’ letter to Your Say (TC 1/12). In my school days in 50s and 60s I hardly heard of car theft especially by teens as we had discipline, not like today, no deterrent, Westbrook training centre would have been part of answer.

I do not normally feel compelled to reply to a letter in Your Say, but the letter written by Hugh Wilson, is so out of date I felt I had too.

Of course 90.77 per cent of the population voted “Yes” in 1967 to change the Constitution to include all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, it was fair and inclusive; I personally don't know anyone who voted no.

The Voice is the complete opposite. It divides the nation by race, when I understood the government wanted to be all inclusive.

DS TWMBA, how would you be if you were rudely spoken to by customers every day. Most supermarkets are under staffed and when one or two call in as unavailable and often can’t be replaced the extra pressure on staff is unbelievable. It’s not their fault, so please be kind.

When you feel a bit down just think that the staff member who doesn’t have that happy face is also feeling a bit down. Maybe you need to muscle up a happy face for them to make them feel better. Your smile may be infectious and be passed on by that staff member to another customer.

The Federal treasurer has stated the Government can’t do anything to bring down electricity prices after Labor went to the election with a promise to lower electricity costs. So what good are they?
