When it comes to street style, influencer and “It” girl Costeen Hatzi has it nailed, with denim, Michael Lo Sordo cocktail dresses and designer accessories combining to create the ultimate fashion wardrobe. Leaning into this season’s ’90s influence, Hatzi mixes high-end designs with affordable brands for a fit that is both admired yet attainable, proving that “style” isn’t always just about the label.

With a denim collection that spans more than 100 pairs of jeans, I love that Costeen still favours her Zara “bargain” pair – it’s little wonder her audience trust her style knowledge and shopping advice.

How would you describe your personal style?

Classy, chic and tonal with occasional pops of vibrant colours. I love wearing timeless, staple pieces, and styling them with designer accessories.

Who are your style icons?

Hailey Bieber, Irina Shayk, Kim Kardashian, Emily Ratajkowski, and Camila Coelho. They all have such different styles, however, I would describe their fashion as fun, and iconic. They all radiate the effortless look, yet look incredible in their outfits.

What’s the oldest thing in your wardrobe?

Probably my 2017 Year 12 formal dress, a strapless navy blue gown, from Elle Zeitoune.

What are your favourite brands?

They include Dissh, Bianca and Bridgett, Dion Lee, Zara, Michael Lo Sordo, Christopher Esber, Venroy, Oroton, Natalie Rolt, Aje, Camilla & Marc, Cult Gaia, Rat & Boa and Sir the Label.

Have you ever made a style faux pas?

I left the house with a long silk dress that wasn’t ironed. It bothered me all night.

What’s the most you have spent on an outfit?

About $1000. It was for my 22nd birthday and it was from the incredible designers Nue studio & Michael Lo Sordo.

What is the most surprising thing about your wardrobe?

I have maybe 100 pairs of jeans/pants and I only wear maybe two.

Top three wardrobe must haves?

An oversized blazer, a white cropped singlet top, and high-rise, loose-fit, mom jeans.

The most sentimental item in your wardrobe?

My university graduation gown and hat.

What would you buy if money was no object?

In terms of luxury fashion items, I would probably buy an Hermes Birkin bag.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?

Including heels, sandals, runners and everything in between, I own roughly 30 pairs of shoes.

Best designer fashion purchase this year?

My black, medium size, double-flap Chanel shoulder bag.

Best bargain fashion purchase this year?

My favourite high-waisted, loose-fit, mom jeans that were roughly $60 from Zara.

Best beauty purchases this year?

My Anastasia Beverly Hills eyebrow pencil in dark brown. Another favourite is the Nars creamy concealer in custard. Lastly, the Charlotte Tilbury flawless filter primer is perfect for evening skin tone.
